Own ads with Business plan

  I have a free blog on WordPress.com. I am thinking to move to Business plan. Can I run own ads with Bussines plan? If answer is yes, do I share money with WordPress.com?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi @dvmstd.

  Yes, you are able to monetize sites that are using the business plan. WordAds is the official WordPress.com advertising program, but you are also able to self-manage third-party ad networks like Google AdSense, OpenX, Lijit, BuySellAds, and Vibrant Media as well as use affiliate link programs (so long as your site’s primary purpose is creating original content and the code used is supported).

  Hi there,

  With the Business plan you have two options:

  1. Enroll in our own advertising program called WordAds:

  WordAds

  2. Run any other advertising program. The downside to this is that you have to manually set it up and configure it on your site. WordAds setup is done by us and you only flip a switch to enable the ads and provide a PayPal account to get paid.

  So if I want to put logo of some enterprise on my blog WordPress Bussines Plan allows that?

  If you want to do this via a third party advertising network like Google Adsense, then yes, this is supported on the Business plan:

  If you create your site/blog on WordPress.com, there is no need for another hosting provider. WordPress.com hosts everything for you, regardless of your plan, so having a self-hosted blog is not necessary.
