Own Domain
-
I have my own domain hosted elsewhere and I have my website hosted there. (e.g: http://www.abc.com)
I am intending to switch from Blogger to WordPress and hoping to integrate my blog with my website. (e.g: http://www.abc.com/blog)
Is this possible? -
You’d need to ask at WordPress.org, since that’s where support for independent installs is available. The answer is yes, but the details are over there.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
But I read this from WordPress.org:
Q: How to I map my wordpress.com blog to a subdirectory of my current domain such as http://domain.com/blog ?
A: I’m sorry, but subdirectory mapping is not available. You could map to a subdomain as described below.+
Any advice?

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are different. That only applies to blogs hosted at WordPress.COM. You do not have one of those.

Raincoaster, I thought he was planning to set up a wordpress.com blog and was asking about domain mapping. Anyway, he’s found his own answer from the FAQ’s – he can’t map to a subdirectory.

hotblob – instead of using the subdirectory, use a subdomain as the FAQ suggests. In other words, blog.abc.com will work here at wordpress.com.
If, however, you are going to self-host, then you can do anything you want. And the support forums for self-hosted wordpress can be found at http://wordpress.ORG/support/
