I own my own domain, how do I host it on WordPress.com?

If you already own a domain and want to host it from WordPress.com then I should inform you that it is not possible currently, because WordPress.com currently does not support incoming domain transfers.But you can use the Domain Mapping upgrade to point your domain to your WordPress.com site/blog.
NOTE:
You will need an upgraded WordPress.com plan on your site in order to map a domain.

No you do not need to pay for hosting when if map your domain to a WordPress.COM site.
All sites on WordPress.com are hosted for free.
There are only these server storage space limitations:
1. Free Plan: 3GB storage space
2. Personal Plan: 6GB storage space
3. Premium Plan: 13GB storage space
4. Business Plan: UNLIMITED STORAGE SPACE!!!When you upgrade, you are just paying to increase the server storage space for your site along with some additional features.

@otpidusprime – As can see, I already have the free 3GB plan, can I map my domain to that one?

@garymgoswellmunro As i mentioned in my previous answer, you cannot map a domain with the Free(3GB plan). You will have to upgrade to a paid plan(at least Personal Plan) in order to do that.

Is there a contact number or a real support email address for WordPress.com Support, because I put in a support ticket in and almost 48 hours later still no response, and Live Chat has been un-operational, talk about inadequate support service!

Currently there is no phone support provided. All the support is done through online communication.
