  thanks again. I know this.
  But now we come to essense of my question: The PERSONAL plan states: “Get a free domain for one year. Premium domains not included. Your domain will renew at its regular price.”. The point is that I do NOT need a “free domain”. I already have one domain registered and want to do content management of that side that I already have. And when I want to do that WordPress immediately goes to the PREMIUM version.

  If you already have a domain you’ll connect it to your site with us using the domain mapping option included in the plan, not using the free domain.

  You can connect as many domains as you want this way at no additional cost.

  We are not a registrar for the .eu domain extension, so you cannot move the domain registration itself to us. You’ll have to continue paying to renew the domain itself at your current domain provider.

  But now we come again to the essense of my question: Can I do the “MAPPING” action under the PERSONAL plan or do I need the PREMIUM plan for that?

  You can map the domain for free with ANY of the paid plans, Personal, Premium, Business or eCommerce.

  Thanks. I would like to proceed with mapping under the PERSONAL plan.
  But my WordPress version always and only allows PREMIUM paid plan.

  I click as follows:
  – “XXXX is taken. If you purchased xxx elsewhere, you can map it for free.” (===> here it even suggests it is free?????)
  – THEN it automatically goes to ” 1 year €96 €8 / month”; which is clearly the PREMIUM PLAN. It does NOT give me any other option (eg PERSONAL plan)
