Owner of the domain has left the firm – and I need to change the cname and A record

  Hi Someone from marketing set up a company blog, they have left the firm and I need to set up a cname and A record to point to a new site and I do not know where to begin. I am an admin on the site but as soon as I try to do anything it asked me to Verify my email and then it will not let me as I’m not the owner Help.
