Owner of the site?

  I’m having permission issue for a site I was just asked to take over. I’m guessing the login I was given is not the original owner. I need to check the plugins and also hide the sharing buttons through out the site but I don’t have permissions. Website is http://www.fccmoline.org

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hey there, yeah the original login is different from the one you’re using. Have a look at the users here & note the owner is likely the one handling upgrades and whatnot:

  https://wordpress.com/people/team/fccmoline.org

  Can you log in as that user, then reach out to support directly for help changing ownership? Here’s a primer, but I think in this case, contacting support directly will be your best bet. You’ll just need to be logged into the owner’s account first.

  When I go to the link to view the team it shows up blank.

  Usually when an issue like this occurs, it can be traced to an expired (or broken) login auth cookie stored on your local web browser. It looks like you are using Google Chrome as your browser, so with this in mind I would like you to try the following

  • clear your cache and cookies based on the steps google recommends here: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050
  • Also make sure you are not blocking any “3rd party cookies” as explained in that guide as well.
  • If you continue to have loading issues after completing those steps, I would like you to try another browser instead, like Firefox. Are you able to proceed if you use a browser other than Chrome?

  Thank you – I will go that route. I tried clearing my browsing and installing firefox. Still a no go on seeing who the Team is on the site.
