We are actually buying an Outfitter company that has it’s site hosted by WordPress. The name is Pourvoirie Duplessis at http://pourvoirieduplessis.com/.
We would like to know how we transfer the rights tied to it under our editing and financial resposibility.
In other words we need a guide on the way to acquire the site.
    Thank you
    André Lemay

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hello there,
Every blog has a sole owner and it is the person with the username account who registered the blog under that username account. You must contact that person. They will have to add the other username account(s) ie. yours as Admin to the blog you want to be transferred to you, and then they must use the process to transfer the blog to your username account.

Note: Staff cannot assist you with the transfer of the upgrade but you are not the blog’s owner yet. The blog’s owner has to request that Staff make the transfer of upgrades to your username account after you are an Admin of the blog.

    Thanks timethief,
in fact the contact with the person is already done,What bugs me though is that the person is asking me a credit card # so she is released from paying fees for “mapping” and “publicity not to be alowed”, saying that only her can manage to have it done.
My question is : Is ther any way that I manage to be the one charged by WordPress for these fees?

    Howdy,

The owner of the site can follow these instructions: http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account to transfer ownership of the site to you.

In doing so, we can assign all upgrades to your account and you’ll be the one responsible for the site moving forward.

In any event, the current owner of the site needs to contact us for more assistance, if needed.

    Thanks!

    Thanks kraftbj,
I’m already on http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account. The problem I am facing is that the person from whom I “receive” the ownership is asking for a credit card # that she would transfer to WordPress and so make sure I am the one to be charged for the fees, she says.
Is that a normal procedure? Or is it rather that as soon as the transfer is done, WordPress starts charging me by asking for a credit card # to do so?
What she is telling is that if I do not give her my credit card # she will be continuing to be charged for it.

Not normal to my way of thinking and certainly NOT required – and not all that safe

They can go to Dashboard >> Store >> My Upgrades – and turn off Auto Renew & delete their credit card info

Then when you receive the Upgrades – just go to the upgrade page and turn on Auto Renew and update / add your credit card info to each Upgrade – then you are good to go

auxclass is right by all accounts on this one.

The current owner can contact us too and we can assure them their credit card won’t be charged, if they are still worried.

    Thanks!

I believe what they want is for the new owners to pay them for the existing upgrades.

Ok, ownership’s been transfered. Now, kraftbj, since I’m a know no WordPress wise, how do I get to “Auto Renew and update “? Can’t seem to find any link to it.

    Hi,

On your site’s dashboard at https://pourvoirieduplessis.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ , you can visit the Store->My Upgrades page to renew and setup Auto Renew. A direct link is at https://pourvoirieduplessis.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=my-upgrades

    Cheers!
