Ownership of domain

    Hi. Is it possible to find out who is the owner of our wordpress domain? We have several administrators, but we cant find out who has the owner account. We also wonder if we are on a free plan or on a paid plan. We expected to be on a payment plan, but when we log in it looks like we are on a free plan. We suddenly got SSL Challenges and our website became unaccessible because of security issues. This happened without us doing any changes. We do not know if we had an SSL-certificate already, and we did not get any notice of renewal. Looking forward to your reply.

    We aren’t able to share that information publicly. What I can do, is send a note to the owner and ask that they contact y’all. Please share the domain with me here and I can have a closer look.

    Hi there,

    That domain is not registered with us on WordPress.com, so we have no information at all about who owns that domain. You’d need to contact the registrar where that domain was registered for that information.

    If you mean the WordPress.com site connected to that domain, at the moment the domain is not connected to WordPress.com at all. It used to be connected to a WordPress.com site on our Business Plan, but that Business Plan and the domain mapping upgrade connecting the domain to the site expired already in August 2017.

    Those upgrades used to belong to the WordPress.com account with the username, anineclovdal.

    As you are an admin on that site we can help you add a new Business Plan and reconnect the domain to the site if you prefer. Please let us know if we should get that process started for you.

    I would like a New Business Plan, like you suggest. How do we move forward/what is the cost? Is it the Business category that we should be upgraded to?

    Hi @utemiljologno, I’d recommend upgrading to business again using the anineclovdal account, if you can. That way we can restore the features you had.

    If you find you don’t need all of the Business Plan features anymore, you could contact support and we’ll help you downgrade the site. All of the pricing is here:
