CAN NOT PROVE I AM THE ACUTAL OWNER OF DOMAIN. FOLLOWING STEPS TO PUT VERIFICATION INTO THE WIDGET BUT STILL NOT VERIFYING. IT SAYS I NEED TO UPDATE. HOW DO I DO THIS?

I am trying to verify that I am the actual owner of my domain. I have a company that wants me to verify that its my domain (my blog). I had to add a text on widget to prove this but it keeps saying I need to update my domain (blog). How do I do this?

What service / company are you trying to verify your site with? Usually verifying site ownership involves changing a meta tag in the header area, we don’t have access to that code except to verify two search engines

trying to verify domain {(email visible only to moderators and staff)} . I did put the meta tag in the header area but they still say can not verify, that I need to update my blog. Not sure how you update a blog.
