Oxygen – cannot control widgets

  • Unknown's avatar

Oxygen showed up for me with 3 columns, and with “search” at the top of both sidebars – how strange! I cannot figure out how to control both sidebars – it only seems to list the “primary” sidebar under widgets, with nothing listed as being installed on the “secondary” sidebar.

Also – under theme options, there seems to be no way to choose 2 or 3 columns – is this possible? If so, how?

Have you consulted the theme description page?

    Widget Areas
    Oxygen offers seven widget areas:

The Primary Sidebar displays categories and archives by default, and the Secondary Sidebar displays search, links, and meta by default if no widgets are configured in Appearance → Widgets.

The four Footer Columns and After Post widget areas are optional and will display only when configured. The After Post widget is handy for including a brief author description or perhaps a list of tags or categories to help readers more effectively discover your awesome content.
