Oxygen theme blog style customization
-
Hi,
I would like to change Oxygen themes blog style with Snaps blog style. Oxygen uses featured images and displays around 50 characters of text. you need to click on the read more section to display the full content of the post. I rather need snaps like full displayed blogs. So i was wondering if i could mask the blog sections css with snaps css? any help would be very appreciated!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
A way to display more text in the excerpt of the Oxygen theme is to add all of the text you wish to display in the editor’s custom excerpt field. More information on that field, including a handy screenshot of where you can find it in the editor, can be found here:
If you’d like, you can copy/paste your entire post to that field and that will then display in the excerpt on the blog page.
If you prefer Snap’s general design then you could consider switching to that theme altogether. It’s possible for you to set the blog page as the front page with that theme, if that’s a concern.
Let me know if that information helps out or if you have any further questions/concerns.
Thanks!

I am aware of the excerpt customization and have used it however I am still not able to view youtube video files on the main blog page. I like everything else about the oxygen was wondering if I could just customize the blog style using css?

Hi there,
CSS can’t be used to increase the amount of text that displays as part of an excerpt.
The only option with Oxygen would be to use the custom excerpt workaround that I detailed. You’re right, though, that workaround would not allow for embedded YouTube videos in your excerpts.
