Oxygen Theme: Display Full Text
-
I have selected display full text for my posts and it is still displaying the summaries. Is that something theme related that I cannot change? Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The Oxygen theme is designed to display with excerpts of the post only showing on the front page. Try this as a way around it:
1. Create your post in the visual editor
2. Switch to the text editor and copy all of the html code.
3. Then, if you paste it in the excerpt box and publish the post, it should display the entire post. It’s a hassle because you will have to do this every time, but if that is what you’re going for – I believe that will work.
For more information, you can read the supprt page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/excerpts/#creating-excerpts

Thanks! I will try that out. This will just be for the first couple of posts until we have enough content where the summaries will then take up most of the page.
Great pictures on your blog btw.

Thanks, let me know if it works!
I can’t take credit for the photos – my wife is the photographer. I just handle the wordpress site. =o)

It worked for the most part, but unfortunately I have embedded tweets in the post. When I placed them in the excerpt box, the embedded tweets only came up as hyperlinks.

Okay, there is no need for html for the embedded tweet. When you go to edit the post, let’s see if we can just use the visual editor for this….
To embed the tweet, go locate the url of the original tweet, copy that url and post that on a line all by itself – see if that works…

Here is the support page regarding embedding tweets: http://en.support.wordpress.com/twitter/twitter-embeds/

Custom excerpts don’t support objects embedded via a shortcode: they cannot display videos, audio players, polls etc etc. If you need full posts on your homepage, you need a different theme.
