Oxygen theme – Little images under the page banner

With the Oxygen theme, how do we have many small images under the page banner? (see http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/oxygen/)???

Hi there,
The images that appear on the front page of the Oxygen demo site are part of the featured slider in the Showcase page template.
The Showcase Page template offers a featured slider for up to six Sticky Posts. To use the template, create or edit a page, and assign it to the Showcase Page template from the Page Attributes module. If you’d like use the Showcase Page template on your front page, go to Settings → Reading and set the Front page option to Static Page. Select the page you just assigned the Showcase Page template to as your front page and then choose another page to serve as your blog page.

I tried everything what you write, but it did not work: my homepage showed the latest posts instead of my welcome text and there was no small images under the banner of blog.
Help me, please.

Hi Sylvie,
If you use the Showcase template in the Oxygen theme, it will display your latest posts instead of your welcome text. This is how the Showcase template is designed.
If you’d still like to use it, you can edit the page and assign the page the Showcase template in the Page Attributes module. Then, select up to six of your posts and make them sticky posts as described here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-posts
You will also need to make sure that your sticky posts have featured images that are at least 750 pixels wide. That will make them appear in the featured slider.
If you have any trouble with this, please leave the settings the same and let me know here. I will be happy to take a look and see why it isn’t working for you.

It’s sad that the Oxygen theme works like that, but I still made all the corrections to see if I have 6 small pictures under the banner of my blog, but I have nothing, why?? You can view this bad result on http://memoiresoubliees.wordpress.com.

Hi,
I double checked everything and it is all working, but I see that it creates an additional blog banner in addition of small images below. I thought the small images would be added under my banner and not create a new one. So, I will keep my old presentation.
