Oxygen theme – show titles on individual posts
-
Hi!
I’ve got lots of great help as a CSS novice on how to adapt the Oxygen theme to suit the needs of my site (www.davidmcgowanauthor.com), but I can’t find the answer to this problem.
I don’t want the title to show on the sticky posts, so I found CSS to get rid of them. But, I’d like to show the title on the recent posts underneath. I know you technical wizards will be able to answer this question in two seconds flat, so thanks for taking the time to help me!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Ok, you want the post titles in the recent articles section right below the slider and thumbnails at the top to show?
I see you have also hidden the titles in the “more articles” section below the recent articles section. Do you want to hide the “more articles section entirely? Right no it is still there and taking up space, just with the titles hidden.
-
I’m also assuming you want to hide the section titles (recent articles and more articles) is that correct?
-
Thanks thesacredpath! Yes, I don’t want to show ‘recent articles’ or ‘more articles’ headings, and I don’t want to show the titles on the sticky posts that scroll through at the top.
Just on the articles underneath so they’re identifiable as to what they contain. The sticky ones at the top I’ve set up to be self-explanatory from the images themselves.
Hope that makes sense!

Thanks and it does. Remove this from your custom CSS
.home .recent-articles h1, .home .more-articles h1 { display: none; }and replace it with this
.home .section-title { display: none; }After making the above change, I’m seeing the even “more” articles at the bottom with a 150px left margin making them out of alignment with the odd numbered entries. It is caused here:
.hfeed-more .hentry.even { margin-left: 150px; width: 45%; }Was it your intent to have them that way?

That’s superb! Thanks. And nope, I’m not delighted with the article titles showing up at the bottom like that, but if I were to hide them completely then they’d be as good as gone I suppose. Perhaps I need to think about that, but is there a way to perhaps line them up so they just appear as a list in the centre?
Thanks again, you all do some fantastic work helping out clueless people like me! :)

If you remove this rule
.hfeed-more .hentry.even { margin-left: 150px; width: 45%; }the more articles section will go into two rows instead of one and I think given there are only titles there, that looks the best.

thesacredpath you are my own personal hero! That’s perfect.
Thanks so much for your help tonight…you’ve done me proud!
Over and out! :)
