Oxygen theme URL photo problem

  In the oxygen theme, a photo added by URL from flickr shows up in the blog posting, but not in the main page list of blogs as a header. (See postings 5 and 6 of energyvulture.com).
  Can this be cured, or do I have to switch themes?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  For the Oxygen theme, only featured images will be shown on the home page. Flickr images embedded into the post will not be shown. You can read more on Featured images here:

  Do you know of a theme that will use the the Flickr URL links both in the posts and on the main page?

  Hi!

  There are two predominant ways that a theme will pull the image for a post on the home page:

  1. The featured image that is set for the post.
  2. The theme will just display the first part of the actual post so any image in the first paragraph or so will get displayed.

  Themes like Oxygen that use the first method will not work because without downloading the image to your computer and uploading it, you cannot set a Flickr image to be the featured image on a post. However, a theme like Twenty Eleven, while it does support featured images, can also just display the first image within the post. You can see a demo here:

  It’s displaying the first image from the post on the home page.
