p and characters between paragraphs

  What do the ‘p and arrows’ mean between paragraphs? If I publish is this what the blog page will look like?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  It sounds like you are in the Text editor ie. the HTML editor and you need to switch to the Visual Editor instead. Just use the tabs directly above the right side of the editing area. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/#visual-editor
