P2 Leading unsatisfactory

    When I use one of the <h…) options eg <h3>, the leading is so tight that the lines almost touch. I need to change this, it’s ugly. I looked through the style.css and found the ref to h3 but not how the leading is set.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi @barbrovsky,

    The spacing between the separate lines of text within the h3 tag is set by the line-height CSS property.

    If you’d like to override it then add the following to Jetpack’s custom CSS editor:

    .postcontent h3 {
        line-height: 1.2em;
    }

    Increase/decrease the value of line-height to your increase/decrease the size of the spacing. Please note that increments/decrements of 0.1 are enough to have an impact e.g. 1.3em, 1.4em, etc.

    It’s also important to note that the h3 tag is intended to be used for page headings, which don’t generally contain enough words to span more than one line. If you’re using that tag to style general paragraphs then it may cause confusion for people who browse the web using assistive technology.

    You can read more on the importance of using heading tags in the correct, semantic way in the following guides:

    Finally: I can see that williambowles.info is hosted through a third-party company while these forums are intended for sites hosted here at WordPress.com.

    The fact that your site is running on the free software available over at WordPress.org may have led you here.

    The difference between the two types of WordPress (WordPress.com and WordPress.org) is a common and understandable point of confusion. If you’re unsure of the differences, then this guide gives a good overview:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

    As your site is hosted elsewhere, the theme’s dedicated support forum over on WordPress.org is the best place for you to go with any extra questions:

    I’ll close this thread for now but hope the above information helped! Please post to the forum on WordPress.org if you have any further question, every thread on the P2 theme’s dedicated forum receives a reply.

    Thanks!
