P2 Theme Functionality Disabled on Startup by Automattic

  Comment: P2 Theme starts with a Static Home Page and none of the advertised/described functionality. This is very bad for beginners. I wasted 3 hours trying to use the theme on 4 different sites before I figured I had to customize home page settings to display recent posts. Grrrrr.

  If you can’t change the default homepage settings, at least warn people somewhere this has to be changed manually for the special P2 functionality to work.

  Yikes, that sounds frustrating!
  The settings would need to be changed manually if you have previously used a static page as your homepage.

  You are right that it would be good to add an information about that to the theme info page.
