PACHYDERM Theme
-
Is there anyway of getting rid of the two icons in PACHYDERM?
I really like the simplicity of the theme. But, the icons are distracting and look out of place on an otherwise very minimal and well designed layout.
THANKEN YOU in advance!

I don’t help with CSS editing but the only hope you have of removing the icons is by purchasing an annually renewable custom design upgrade and undertaking CSS editing to remove them.

Thanks! But it’s a pity cause I really don’t want to buy the upgrade for this blog (it’s a just small project!).
Could you recommend a similar theme (that is minimal, centred and with no widget columns?). I’ve tried “blaskan”, but the header height is too small. And tried “truly minimal”, but I don’t want a widget column. Seems like I can’t win if I don’t fork out the cash!?
thanks again :)

thanks!
just had a look and it is nice and simple, but still has the widget areas on the pages. I think I’ll just have to get used to the icons for the mo, and maybe if we get some funding I can fork out on a slightly more slick style!

You do not have to use the sidebar. There are three footer widget areas you can use. Add an empty text widget click to open, click “save” and click “close” to eliminate all sidebar display in the sidebar. Also note some widgets have visibility settings and you can use them to exclude visibility on a certain page. http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/categories-widget/#visibility

that works!
Still not perfect, but I think it’s the best I can do for the mo. Thanks again for your help! :)
