Page as parent of category
-
Hi everybody. I’m sure other people have asked this but I cannot find the answer to this question anywhere, so here I go.
I’m looking to build a site that has pages with static content. I want to display posts on few of these pages. As I understand, I need to use categories instead of pages in order to achieve this, but if I use categories, my pages will only contain posts and no static content. How do I get the best of both worlds? A page that is the parent of a category.
Thank you for helping me, I’m only just starting out with WP. I’m familiar with php and html, so don’t worry about getting technical if you must.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
We provide support here only for WordPress.COM hosted blogs. That site is not among them. You are posting to the wrong support forum.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG and need support for that site in the future and if you do not have a WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.
