Page attribute isn't functioning correctly

I have a page that isn’t showing up under the drop down menu where it is supposed to. I do this by creating a page and then assigning a page attribute. I have 3 pages listed under the attribute “It’s Worth the Risk”. I even gave them an order of 1, 2 and 3. Only the first 2 are shown. They are movie critique pages for American Hustle (1), Hedwig and the Angry Inch (2), and Her (3). Why isn’t Her showing up? All of the settings are the same from page to page.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there – There are a couple of things going on here.

The reason why ‘Her’ isn’t there is that you haven’t yet added it to your Custom Menu here:
    https://cinematicblackplanet.wordpress.com/wp-admin/nav-menus.php

You’ll want to add it, drag it into the correct place, and then click ‘update menu.’

But also, I note that you’re including both a post and a page for each entry. There’s no need to do this. If you want to go on as you have been, you can just add a page for each entry and add it to your menu.

Or, you could use posts instead and set up what’s called Category Pages:
    Category Pages

If you do that, the posts themselves won’t show in the dropdown menu, but if someone clicks on, say, the menu tab for a category page called ‘It’s Worth the Risk,’ all the posts that are in that category will load automatically.

You can read more about the difference between posts and pages here:
    Post vs. Page

Let me know if you have further questions!
