The Page Attributes setting allows you to set page parents and templates, and to change the order of your pages.
As stated here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-options/
It basically means you can setup a page under a page under a page and so on…
For example if there are pages with these addresses:
1. example.com/about
2. example.com/about/historyThen ‘example.com/about’ is the parent page of ‘example.com/about/history’ and ‘example.com/about/history’ is the child page of ‘example.com/about’.
Consider we have another page under ‘example.com/about/history’ like this:
3. example.com/about/history/1999then ‘example.com/about/history/’ is the top level page of ‘example.com/about/history/1999’ and in the same way ‘example.com/about/’ is the top level page of ‘example.com/about/history/’.
