don’t the lesser attributes hide behind the main title?
i want four main titles each with its own hidden sub menus, is that possible?i tried copying pages from one of my sites to another, but somehow they’ve disappeared is there anyway that they can be recovered???

I’m not sure what you mean here. What attributes are you speaking of?

Are you speaking of the site menu? It’s possible to create submenus, yes, but you do that from the Customizer, not from inside the editor:

i tried to copy pages from https://ackworthstrata.wordpress.com/ to https://shlaa2.wordpress.com/.
by using the copy all content from the dropdown menu under the three dots at the top right hand of the page.
i pasted the content and saved it on the https://shlaa2.wordpress.com/ site.
but the planning history, site maps and area images, which should have transferred are all empty, inculding most of the media content https://wordpress.com/media/ackworthstrata.wordpress.com
is there anyway that the lost information can be recovered???

If you are trying to move all content from one WordPress.com site to another, your best bet may be to export it all and then import it back in as described here:

Can you clarify what the old site and new site are, and which pages are missing?
To find out your media usage, go to https://wordpress.com/media and look in the upper right. You’ll see a meter there that shows what you’re using. Be mindful that your site uses these images, so don’t delete them if you want them to appear on the site.
Also, generally speaking, it’s best to have one issue in one thread, and open a new thread for a separate topic. You’ll also want to avoid adding extra replies to your thread. We can usually get back to you faster, since we work from the threads with the oldest replies to the threads with the newest ones. More info here:

We recommend the method we mentioned earlier:

If it did not work, it might be because you already copied some of it to the new site. If you’d like, we can empty the site and you can try that import again, but anything new you had added to the new site would be lost.

can the lost content as described in previous messages above, be recovered ?
Just a YES or NO answer?
Surely the engineers at wordpress should be able recover the files from the servers?

I believe that the pages you’re referring to are in the trash bin; you can restore them from here:
https://wordpress.com/pages/trashed/ackworthstrata.wordpress.com.
Be careful with trashing posts because the trash will be automatically emptied after 30 days, and it will be impossible for us to recover any deleted content.

after the problems iv’e changed themes to

im having problems in getting the menu to display. ive ticked the primary box but the menu isnt displaying?? -
This is, unfortunately, part of the same issue we mentioned above. The settings in the customizer are not saving for the affected sites.
