Page attributes missing

  Hi. I have recently signed up to wordpress and am having a nightmare trying to set up my blog. I have used blogger with much greater ease. I am using the Sela theme and would like to have a home page that has the same display/layout as the theme page i.e. full width image with text overlay followed by three images underneath. I have created a HOME page and have set this as static, however I do not have the Page Attributes section that is frequently referred to nor do I have Screen Options – often referenced as a troubleshoot for Page Attributes missing. Can someone please help?

  Thanks for responding. I did some reading a decided to switch from wordpress.com to .org, so my site was down for a while. I’ve finally figured out how to use the various pages.
