page attributes – parent page list not listing all possibilities
-
Hello all,
I’m using wordpress.com for quite some time now, but due to circumstances I’ve been out for several months.Since my last visits early this year, there have been some major changes to the editor, and it took me a while to get familiarized with the new environment.
I still haven’t figured out all of it, but I manage to add new content with the “classical block” editor. When you take a look at our blog/site you’ll see that it’s quite structured.
When opening the site you’ll first see the blog messages.
But the site itself sits behind the menu. Until now there are almost 200 pages and over a dozen pages planned. With this number of pages, a good solid structure is needed.
In the past I had no problem structuring this hierarchy because the “page attributes” section was working quite well by listing all pages in the proper order. But now I don’t have but problems with the new “page attributes” action:
When trying to design a parent page I only get a short list, as if I have but 4 or 5 of the old parent pages left.
Newly created pages are also listed. So my question is:
Is there something wrong with the “page attributes” section?
Or have I done something wrong in the past that makes the pages “invisible” for the parent page list?I am using the Twenty fifteen theme
Thanks already for helping me out.
BTW:
the site is in Dutch, but when navigating the menu one can see the structure of parents and children in the address bar of the browser. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
We’ve been investigating this issue for some time – hopefully it will be fixed soon. For now, you can still assign parent pages using the Quick Edit option from WP-admin:
https://wordpress.com/support/pages/edit-pages-screen/#quick-edit
I hope that helps :).

Thanks Oliwia,
although it requires some extra manipulations, this has solved my problem about parent pages for a while.
I hope the WP-team will come up with a definite solution real soon.I’ve closed the topic as resolved
