Page Attributes: Template (Issue)
-
Hi there!
I am having a problem with a certain Page (i.e. “My Blog”) on my WordPress website. For some reason, I cannot change the Page Attributes (i.e. Template) for the page above. Also, I have a “static home page”. I’m thinking maybe the default settings for a static home page are preventing me from from changing certain preferences on on the page in question.
Can you please help me figure out why I cannot change the Template for my page, and let me know how I can fix this?

You have set your “My Blog” page as the posts page on your Settings → Reading page. The posts page is a type of archive page like categories and date archives and there is not a way to set a page template on those types of pages–they are styled automatically by the theme.

That was fast! Thanks for such a quick reply, and I understand. Thank you for explaining.
