Hi there
A very impressive and inspiring story – couldn’t help but notice as i scrolled through to the bottom. This is what i found:Text Widget
This is a text widget, which allows you to add text or HTML to your sidebar. You can use them to display text, links, images, HTML, or a combination of these. Edit them in the Widget section of the Customizer. It looks like your story was entered as a left sidebar instead of as the body of the page. If you go back to the editor it might be possible to cut and paste from sidebar to body of the page (i would paste it into a document first just in case).
When you do go to put it in as a page body, you may have to resize the sidebar, or eliminate it all together.
I hope this helps!
Best,

Hi Dave,
So glad you like the story. I’m still having a little trouble with the layout. I’m pretty new to WordPress and am struggling a little. I get to the customise section but can’t seem to find an option to get rid of the side bar or add my post into the main body.

Hi Ellie
I feel your pain about learning how to use new software, having had to do the very same thing many times over the 40+ years of computer use and i am still learning! As far as i can tell, there is no way to “move” content from sidebar to body. I hope i am wrong about this.Since this is Widget related, the folks at the Widget support forum might be able to help: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/widgets
There are some very good tutorials on how to use the customize functions here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/customize/ Once you get this issue sorted.Best,
dave
