page bar showing two 'Home' links
-
Hi,
If you take a look at the link http://quintanafilms.wordpress.com you’ll see the page bar has two links saying ‘Home’. It’s the same page they both link to, but it’s really niggling at me. How do I change this (if it’s possible)?
Thanks for any help
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Some themes provide a Home tab like Vigilance. It’s not an actual page just a tab that when clicked on any page in the blog will return visitors to the front page of the blog. If you then created static page and give it the same title ie. “Home” you have created a problem. There are ways to deal with this like:
(1) http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/hide-pages/(2) Edit the static page you created and give it another title like “welcome” or whatever – problem solved.
(3) Change to a theme that does not have this feature http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/category/homefrontblog-tab/

Ah option 1 I think is what I’m wanting. Is there a way to have my current ‘Welcome’ page (I just changed it like you suggested) as the home page, but have it hidden on the navigation bar?

(1) You could Copy and paste the content from the welcome page into a post and make it a sticky post and then delete the page. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-posts
(2) Or you could create a custom menu and include only the pages you want in it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
