Page break not working correctly
-
Ok, it seems the forums are the place to go for help, even though I don’t like the idea.
So to that end, while I have some major problems with my blog/site right now in terms of customizing. Aside from the kindness of Timethief posting far more than I can absorb in an effort to help. (It is more info than the standard wordpress vagueness and maybe I’ll understand more later.Perhaps it is better to address one problem at a time.
So that being said, here is number one for now:
I’m trying to break some of my ridiculously longer articles (you lot call them “posts”) into uh,….”pages’? Not those “pages” or those “pages” or all the other morphing definitions, but pages like in a book.So I tried the Pagenation function. While it is simple enough for me to do and does what is basically its function, the big problem is that it does not do it correctly. What ends up happening is that it places the “Page 1, 2>” after all the share button, like button and any other button you happen to have plus the other gibberish and after the related links! On top of that, it is more a light gray in color so it makes it even harder to see.
Why does it put the page prompt there instead of at the end of where one does the page break and in a more visible fashion? It’s virtually useless the way it does it now. It took me a minute and squinting my eyes with strong glasses to see it, so I can imagine my readers will not see it. (I knew it was there and I did not see it at first).
Is there a way to make the page break show up where it should and perhaps make it even more visible by bolding it or something? -
Pagination (next page) https://en.support.wordpress.com/nextpage/ works correctly. Some bloggers do not like where the page numbers are positioned but they cannot be moved.

Thanks Timethief. That is typical wordpress stupidity! It’s not even a matter of liking it or not. It’s a matter of what makes damn sense. For god’s damn sake! This is so simple, why can’t wordpress understand that?!!!!!
This is blogs and websites, not teenage kardashian twitter/texting stupid stuff that nobody can read.So bottom line is that it is a useless function thanks to wordpress.
I’m sick and tired of wordpress stupidity and games. It’s beyond ludicrous that one is not allowed to write in english, left to right and use correct grammar! We are forced to write like idiots and teenage texting freaks or something.
I guess if one wants at least a semi-professional looking blog or site then wordpress is not a good choice. This is enough to make me just forget having a blog or site and trying to help others with it. Right now I just want to blast it gone and walk away.
I’m really pissed off now! -
What you call stupidity is subjective and as you do not know how to blog, how the software is designed to function, and what cannot or cannot be done using the software, others who not lack that knowledge may not agree with you.
I have helped many people learn to blog over the course of the last decade and it’s my experience that those who start with a clear mind and a strong desire to learn how the software works always succeed.
It’s my experience that the greatest barriers to learning how to blog is unrealistic expectations that we set up between out ears and that canlead us to believe that we know better than software designers, when in fact, we know diddly squat, and we are not willing learners.

Write a Book
A blog is, essentially, a reverse chronological publishing tool. There are ways to use a blog to post long-form pieces in chapters, however, though it will require a bit of work. https://en.support.wordpress.com/write-a-book/ -
What? I’m not trying to write a book.
Not a single one of my expectations is unrealistic in even the slightest way! Where do you get off?!
One can only learn what one is being taught. If one is being taught incorrectly then one will never be correct and never know how to do something.
Who really knows how to blog anyway?
My blog is not about me, period! I know that is not the norm, but I have nothing to write about myself. I am not going to write about my breakfast or whatever. I’m not going to write about stuff I do not know.
All I wanted was a semi-professional..or make that, just a decent site where folks could go to learn how to re-engage with music again and learn that it doesn’t take a million dollars to do it. Apparently, intellect and writing that makes sense is not permitted. I can tell that by what you just wrote.I’m one minute away from hitting Delete on my blog. It isn’t worth the headache.
