Page bug
-
I created a page and deleted it.
Now half the time that I refresh my main page, it is still there. Creepy.
When I check Manage > Pages, it says no pages found.Forgive me if this is a bad question; my first time using wordpress.
What to do, what to do?http://kedarguru.wordpress.com/
[The ghost page is ‘Calendar’] -
I clicked on Calendar and got a 404 – Not Found
Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.Volunteers don’t have backend access to blogs so only staff can help you eliminate it. However, it could be a caching issue and it may clear up after a bit of time passes. I suggest you go to Manage -> Pages, delete it again and then wait a bit. If it doesn’t disappear then send a feedback into staff.

Hmm, that is strange. We’ve seen it happen before but it’s been awhile.
Best bet would be to send in feedback with the specific link as you mention up above.

Thanks for the insight timethief.
As you said, it’s likely a caching issue because there is nothing listed under my Manage -> Pages. It’s been about half an hour since I realized this was happening, so I think the cache should have cleared by now. Should I wait it out or consult the higher forces?

:-)
uhh… to be sure, how will the staff member contact me now and in the future: through dashboard, my email, this forum, etc?
-
Through the forums here is usally best because 99% of the time we can resolve whatever the issue is. In this case, we’ve directed you to the feedback as it’s something that we can’t solve.
We like to decrease Mark’s work load. :)
