Hi,
I use wordpress.com to do my blog on line (no files installed on my computer)Problem:
My first page works very well but the second one gives me an error message: Error 404 – Not Found
I have gallery on both of them.
I heared about .htaccess file on wordpress.org but I don’t have it on my computer.
I use Opera but with IE I have the same problem…
Does someone has the solution?
Thanks

Caution!!! The link above is NOT SAFE FOR WORK.
You really need to let people know that when you post a link to it here in the forums.
If you open the page in the page editor, does not have the gallery code showing on the page?
-
Yes you’re right, sorry.
No I don’t have any code on the edit page.
Here is the print screen for edit page 01 and 02:https://documents.epfl.ch/users/d/do/dols/public/EditPage01.PNG?XY_sessionid=%5BB@1895710-1869769232
https://documents.epfl.ch/users/d/do/dols/public/EditPage02.PNG?XY_sessionid=%5BB@1895710-1869769232
And the weird thing is if I choose Page02 as static page as the Front page displays (welcome page) in the settings, the 2 pages works.
But I want to put many oder pages so it doesn’t solve the problem.
Do you have an idea? -
Were you or are you using the gallery shortcode that worpdress.COM provides to put the image galleries in?

On page 2, while in the visual editor, delete the gallery and click “update page”. The click the “add an image” button, go to the gallery tab and you should see all the images that you uploaded while that post was active (gallery images are attached to posts). Click the “insert into post button again and then click the “update post” button again and see if it takes that time.

Ok, I fixed the problem:
It was not question about the gallery, but about the parent of the Page02:I put the Page01 as static page as the Front page displays (welcome page) in the settings.
Thus I have to put the next pages as parent of this Page01.
I did this with the little box just under the publish box in the Page02 editor.
Thanks a lot for your help.
See you -
