Page doesn’t save

Hi, I have been in the process of editing my site. And today when I went to create a new blog page it did not save. I tried this with a few other pages and they also are not updated. I tried refreshing the cache on both my browser and my site. I also tried deactivating plugins. I am hoping to get some guidance on what might be the issue and fix. Thank you for any guidance!

Many thanks for reaching out – it looks like this website is a self-hosted one and so the support we can offer is limited.
It sounds like you’ve done the right thing here with ruling out plugin conflicts – have you ruled out any problems with the theme?
For instance, do pages and posts save with a different theme installed.

Hi Aleone89, thank you so much for responding. I have attempted to swap themes and have encountered the same situation. The site is relatively new so I’m considering just deleting everything and starting over :( Is there a support option where I can pay for help on a one-off basis while I still keep my site as self hosted?

This could be a result of several different things. The first that comes to mind if the issue is not a theme issue is a potential plugin conflict. I would disable all plugins connected to the site and see if you are able to save the page – considering the site is relatively new, I don’t know how many plugins you would have at this point, but it is worth troubleshooting.
If you have any extensions or ad blocks on your browser, I would disable those and see if that helps any – I know there have been extensions or ad blockers that have caused saving issues before, so that may be the culprit. Maybe try incognito mode or another browser first, and if saving works, you know the issue is browser related.
It’s just really hard telling since we don’t have access to self-hosted sites. If you continue to have problems, reaching out to the dotorg community would be the next step I would recommend since they specialize in supporting the open source version of WordPress: http://wordpress.org/support/forums
