Page edit defaults to home page
-
Good afternoon everone! So sorry about the noob question!
Set up my site and included a blog page, went to edit the page through the dashboard and every time I click on ‘edit page’, it defaults to my home page. In fact, every time I try to edit any page, it defaults to my home page. Once again, sorry for the noob question, just started out and trying to learn.
Cheers
Jim

Every theme has a detailed theme description page. This one is at https://wordpress.com/theme/karuna and that’s where set up instructions for it and the live demo site link is found. See “Setting Up Your Front Page” there please.
By default the Home page of every site is the URL of the site.
You can create a Page https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/#create-a-new-page first and then designate it as a page for your posts.
This is a one or the other situation. You have two choices on any blog
(1) All posts on the front page.
(2) Or a static front page http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/ and all posts on a different page. All support docs are found here https://en.support.wordpress.com/

Thanks for the reply , but im not sure thats the problem I have. When I click pages im presented with 10 pages – which include a homepage (next to that it says -frontpage) … and Blog (next to that -posts page) . The problem I have is when i try to edit any of my pages , for example, I click ‘edit’ under Blog .. and the editing page defaults to ‘Homepage’

Hi Jim,
When I click pages im presented with 10 pages
On which site is this? I only see four pages on http://ukbabybargains.wordpress.com/
There’s no point in editing the Blog page, as that page will only show your latest posts, no matter what you add to the page itself. The other pages on that site I can edit without any problems.
