Page Editor not allowing links

  The only way I have been able to get linked wording on a page at my blog is to copy/paste it from a word document, my old blog, etc. Page editing is not allowing me to highlight text and click the “Link” button. I also am unable to insert media onto a page, as the media button is not allowing me to click it.
  Anyone else have this issue or know how to resolve it?

  Make sure you are running a browser and version of it found http://browsehappy.com or upgrade if required.

  I can help with that. Anchor text is the visible, clickable text in a hyperlink. Relevant anchor text matters because it tells search engines and visitors what the page is about before they land on it.

  For embedding links in post and pages this is the general link model:
  <a href="URL HERE">Highlighted anchor text here</a>

  1. In the Visual editor type the relevant descriptive anchor text you want to link to first. Note that “click here” is not a good choice. ;)

  2. Then use your mouse to highlight that anchor text. (If you don’t highlight the anchor text the chain icon will remain grayed out and not be useable.)

  3. Next click the chain icon in the editor and proceed to create the link.

  Thank you for your quick response!
  I would love to be able to access the Text editor section of the pages, rather than the Visual, but not only can I not click on the “link” button in Visual Mode, I also cannot click the Text tab, either.

  I can also not click the insert media button or the poll button (the latter I really don’t care about at the moment). I can, however, click the contact form button and the location button. I am unsure why the editing is so reduced.

  I am no longer able to add links in Visual mode nor click to revise in Text mode. Is there some special way around this? Or, more helpful, to resolve it?
