page i deleted still appears in my pages widget

i just deleted a page and it is still visible in my pages widget, only when i click on the link it just takes me to the mainpage.

try clearing your cache and cookies and refresh your front page. it may even take a while before wordpress updates the changes.

I had the same problem, infolution.
I created a page and then deleted it. In my Admin interface the page was gone, but live on the blog it was still there but linking to an old article.
I waited four hours before asking Support for help and then went to bed.
When I awoke in the morning the page was gone and Support emailed saying they weren’t seeing the problem because, it seems, the page had cured itself via deletion overnight — so it can take awhile sometimes for the Pages to get thoroughly deleted in the system, I guess — especially if you’re working a lot with adding and editing Pages in small bursts.

The widgets in the sidebars are cached, and sometimes it takes an hour, or two, or six for them to update. Typically it is within an hour, in my experience, but it just depends on how busy things are, etc.
