Page id
-
I am working on WordPress.com and have a great widget that lets me list my pages. I want to exclude a bunch of pages from this list and need the page id. Now I have perused the help and entered a variety of things, but to no avail. This is an example of the page URL:
https://thevfuupriceofoilblog.wordpress.com/sources-for-the-vfuu-price-of-oil/sources-for-hereI have entered just ‘sources-for-here’ and ‘sources-for-the-vfuu-price-of-oil/sources-for-here’, but neither work.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Click Edit while you are on the page you are trying to get the ID for. Once the editor is displayed, look in the address bar of your browser. You will see something like this:
https://wordpress.com/page/thevfuupriceofoilblog.wordpress.com/8That last number you see is your page/post ID.
You can also get this number in your WP Admin Dashboard; you can access this by adding /wp-admin/ to the end of your website address. For example, yours would be:
https://thevfuupriceofoilblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/Then you can click Pages on the left side and a list of your pages will now be displayed. If you place your mouse over the title of a page, a link will be displayed in the bottom left corner of your browser. It will look something like this:
https://thevfuupriceofoilblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=8&action=editpost=8 is what gives you the ID for this page; the ID in this case is 8.
I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions on this.
