Page instead of Post

I have created a page, in hindsight, it should have been a post as I need it to be my home page. Is there a quick way to easily alter this without having to recreate the whole page as a post?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

You can set the page as a static homepage but you can’t automatically change a page to post – you’ll have to recreate it.

Here is how to set a page as a static homepage:

    Hi,

It appears that your website uses the self-hosted version of WordPress rather than WordPress.com, which is what this forum is designed to help with. Note the difference here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

You may be able to find help here: https://wordpress.org/support/ or alternatively contact your hosting provider.

However, are you using the Calypso interface? If so, you can quickly turn a post into a page, but if it’s only a few, it’s best to do it manually. This method may also be effective on the self-hosted version of WordPress too.

When editing the page, switch to the Code or HTML editor and copy everything. On the new post, switch again to the HTML or Code editor and paste.

There isn’t a way to automatically convert a page into a post, but this should work effectively. :)
