Page is different online than in the editor

Good gravy! 35 years in computers and I don’t know that I’ve ever run across a less user friendly platform. How you do find questions you asked previously here in the forum? Why do my pages include things that don’t show in the dashboard editing pages? I built a website years ago with WordPress and it was easy, now it seems almost impossible.
