Page jump not working on iPhone or iPad
-
Page jump, i.e. pdf#page=32, at the end of the URL does not work with iPhone or iPad. It works fine with Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari on Desktop but it does not work on iPhone or iPad. How can we resolve this issue? Please advise. Thank you.

Hello,
Thank you for replying. I think I might of found a solution with the Dear Flip (dFlip) plugin (creates a flip book). I am wondering if this plugin can affect the rest of our website?!?
The problem with the #page=[page number] at the end of the URL is that it only seems to work with Desktops and not with cell phones and tablets. I tried with iPhone and iPad it is sending user to page 1 of PDF file instead of specific page tagged at the end of the .What do you think?
Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Hi there,
What is the URL of the site you are referencing? Is it one of your WordPress.com sites?
-
Are you WordPress staff?
Other question… For some reason, the Slug QTS seems to be adding -1, -2, etc. at the end of my Slug. So permalinks are no longer what they use to be, thus causing 404 pages : (
When try to edit Slug (for example, remove -2 at the end), it keeps reverting to that Slug name. I am assuming there is another page (name) that was created with original name. How can I fix this problem?https://lighttrim.com/en/our-products/lap-trims-2/
Should just be: https://lighttrim.com/en/our-products/lap-trims

Hello there,
It looks like https://lighttrim.com/ is a self-hosted WordPress site with specialistes.com, which is a bit different to a site hosted on WordPress.com. You can read about these differences here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
You would need to reach out to your theme/plugin developers or the hosting provider for further assistance.
I hope this helps.

Are you talking about the Slugs/permalinks or the PDF directing to page 1 on iPhone and iPad?
-
Hello there,
I would be referring to your site as a whole, and any issues that may have occurred with it.
We can assist with sites on WordPress.com, but not with self-hosted WordPress sites.
I hope this helps.

Not much help. You would think that your expertise with WordPress could guide me just a little bit. I am not asking much.

Your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can find more information here about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
https://wordpress.org/support/ is a great resource for sites using the open source WordPress.org software, and you can find support for that at: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
Your hosting provider’s support team may also be able to assist.

Ok. What I would like to know is if we transfer our website to WordPress.com for the monthly Business plan, does this mean that our web site will be hosted on WordPress.com? If so, will we get continued support if need be?
Also, I am guessing we have to pay annual domain name fees when we transfer our domain away from our current registrar. Can you confirm please ?
And how can I get in touch with someone with WordPress.com to buy a Business plan. I would like talk to someone or live chat? It is hard and long to do it just through messaging like this. -

Yes, that is correct.

Visiting https://wordpress.com/help/contact will always connect you with the highest available support option for your plan.
Under a Business plan, that will be priority live chat support.
Also, I am guessing we have to pay annual domain name fees when we transfer our domain away from our current registrar.
That is correct, yes, but the plan will include a free domain transfer: https://wordpress.com/support/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/
And how can I get in touch with someone with WordPress.com to buy a Business plan.
You’ll need to start by creating a site here first at https://wordpress.com/start and you’ll be able to choose your plan in the process.
Once the Business plan is purchased, you’ll have access to priority live chat support and can import your old site following the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/moving-from-self-hosted-wordpress-to-wordpress-com/
