Page jumps

    Dear reader,

    I have a website with wordpress cms. I just added page jumps to my site

    This was done succesfully. Except for one minor detail. When I jump to a heading in the content, the page doesn’t jump to before the header, it jumps on the header or even below it.

    So instead of here:
    Header 2
    text in block under header 2, bla bla bla…

    In jumps directly to here:
    text in block under header 2, bla bla bla…

    Visually I want to add some padding or something to make sure the header is also visible when I add a page jump. Can anyone explain how to do this? I’ve seen an option to edit this and add some code in the CSS, but my skills and knowledge are insufficient to do this on my own.

    Thanks for reading, and I hope you can help me.

    Kind regards,

    Nick

  • Thanks, Nick. The site isn’t hosted here, so I’m not able to check the back end. But, this should be relatively easy to fix: you can either add the anchor link just above the header, or add a little padding to header so there’s space above it:

    .entry-content h1, .entry-content h2, .entry-content h3 {
      padding-top: 2em;
    }

    Hoping that helps! Going forward, you’ll also want to use the correct forums for self-managed installations, at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
