page layout changed-yikes!

Since I last visited my WordPress site a few weeks ago, my page layout seems to have been redesigned or something. All the sudden, photos I arranged to look small on my website are HUGE (gawking enormous headshot of me! yikes!). My url is http://mollymaureenginty.wordpress.com/. What’s going on with this format? The same has happened to my blog. I had all my photos the size I wanted and now they’re huge and I can’t seem to change the size back. I used to be able to resize them (without using html or whatever) but now I can’t. The weird thing is only some of them have changed. I tried to change some but now they’re too small. Grrrr! Hi Molly, I just checked http://mollymaureenginty.wordpress.com/ and the headshot looks okay to me. I think you might have fixed it before I saw it or I’m looking at the wrong page.
If you had a chance to look at the link timethief posted, it might have answered your questions. If not, let me know if you’re still having any trouble!

Can I do several posts using this option or is that just for subsequent posts? All my formatting was fine until just in the past week when they appear to have changed themselves.

Thanks for chiming in, everyone! I was able to fix my head shot and the photos on the first page of my site. But it took me an hour of fiddling, and I’m still not sure how I managed it. Did WordPress change its layout settings on some sites recently, without alerting the people who operate those sites? Please let me know if you have any info. Thanks, Molly

The Settings > Media sizes will control the size of any image on the blog that was inserted normally without editing the HTML of the image.

We updated the size function, and there was a bug in the process! We have it fixed and are helping anyone with remaining troubles via help requests like yours.

I chose the Expound theme but the front page layout of my blog looks nothing like what i chose…how to get it to look the same? i want all four categories on the front page like in the theme, but all i see is the latest piece i posted..have searched and searched thru way too much information and still can’t figure out why it doesn’t look like the sample i downloaded…

Go to http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/expound/ and follow the steps under the heading “Setting Featured and Primary Posts.”
