Page leads to copy of homepage (instead of its real content)
-
Hi! I’m using the Beta Editor in combination with Pages for the first time. The largest part of the info on our site is located on the homepage. For our FAQ, we’d like to link to a separate page (it would take up too much space on the homepage otherwise). However, when I try to do this, the FAQ URL just shows me a copy of the homepage. How can I make sure that I can link to the actual page with our FAQ that isn’t just a copy of the homepage?
Many thanks for you help!

Hey there! You’ve done great work so far. It looks like you’ve somehow managed to edit the page template, though, rather than the homepage itself.
Fixing it will involve copying your work into a static page, resetting the page template, and copying anything you want to keep on that over. Would you like some help on this? It’ll take some decision on your part re: what you want on every page vs what should just be on the static home page. Let us know your thoughts.

I did some digging: it looks like normally when you edit the page template, it will still edit the page directly for you, rather than the template.
But that’s only if you’re editing within the Page Content Block, and in this case you accidentally removed that altogether.
If you’d like, rather than completely reverting the page template, you can add that back in.
