Page-Level Login Access
-
To Whom It May Concern,
I looked in the archives but couldn’t really tell which widget etc. might do what I need it to do. Maybe all of them? Maybe none.
I am a modestly WP proficient user who is serving as the web admin fora group of writers who are not very web savvy. So I’m looking for a plugin that will allow me to add their work to the wP site as pages child pages of their profile pages.
What I then want to do is set things up so that the general public can access he group’s home page and each of the profile pages (for about 20 members in the group), but limit access to the child (writing content) pages only to other members of the group.
That is to say, the general public should be able to see who is in the group and what the group is all about (home/about pages and general posts), but only members can view member content/writing.
Is there anything in the WP.com universe that will let me set up users and login details and easily assign page access, etc.?
Thanks for your help.

Hi there,
I suggest you use the “password protected” option from page visibility. This way each author sets a password of their choice for their pages and they would need to provide it to their readers.
You can find more about this in the following link: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-visibility/
