Page link at top navigation does not direct to Posts page

On my blog I have added a page ‘Welcome’ which is set as my static page to go whenever anyone comes to my site. The second link at the top: ‘blog’, however, does not point to my posts page but rather redirects to my blog home i.e. http://www.angusblair.com (I have domain forwarding on a angusblair.wordpress.com). This means that via site navigation it is not possible to view my blog posts. Is this because the theme I have cannot support a static home page?
Is there a way to change ‘blog’ link so that it goes to my posts. I am using the the theme K2.
In addition, I am unable to change the order of the page links at the top, I understand they automatically order alphabetically automatically and I have added the number ‘1’ to the appropriate field in the ‘welcome’ page edit screen. But as there is no such screen for the posts page I am unable to change that.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Check under settings > reading and make sure that you have the posts page designated as “blog.”

Once you have “blog” set as the post page, then you should be able to also set the page number for it (I think).

Actually forget the above two posts. Review this support document on static front pages which has all the information you will need. At the bottom there is also a link in the text on how to hide one of the “blog” pages.

The “Blog” tab is the equivalent of the “Home” tab you can see in several other themes. It’s meant to link to the front of your blog (usually but not necessarily the main posts area). Now that you’ve set your front to be a static page, you need another “posts page”. As tsp says, you’ll find how this is done in the info on static front page.

For clarity in cases where there are two “home” or “blog” page links the solution is to make a page to use as the front page of the site, and then list it as a child under the parent, “home” or “blog” as the case may be. Problem solved. :)
