  I am using a new theme- chaotic soul but this theme doesnt have any “Next” or Previous links for moving between pages. Can someone help.

  Every theme designer chooses which features to include in or exclude from their themes, and we cannot alter our wordpress.com themes as we are on a shared blogging platform and such alterations would effect all blogs. Apparently this theme doesn’t have the “next” and “previous” feature so if it’s important to you then you can will have to choose another theme. There is a blogger who is doing theme reviews so maybe the information he has on the themes he has already reviewed will help you find a theme with the features you want http://engtech.wordpress.com/tools/wordpress/wordpress-theme-reviews/

  Gotta admit that I hate themes that don’t do the Next and Previous links. I think we have too many themes here that don’t include them. I know when I was looking for a theme for teh webcomic way back when, I only found something like 4 themes out of the total that did include them.

  I would suggest sending in a feedback with the suggestion that staff may want to add these links in. To be honest, I don’t think that they will. Staff seems to stay away from those kinds of changes simply because it would affect all users who are currently using the theme and it would get away from how the theme was designed in the first place.

  Thanks drmike…

  can I modify this theme in some way. How easy is it to do that? I am quite familiar with html but CSS is very new to me.. :(

  Pages or posts? Seeems he/she speaks of pages but is really speaking of the posts. There is a page widget you can add to provide links to pages.

  For posts there is the archives,the calendar(yes,it has links to previous posts),recent posts(widget),Top Posts(widget)and catagories. That is 5 ways to find previous/older posts. How many more ways do you really need?

  In my opinion,if someone cannot find your posts with all of these ways of finding them, then they are not really looking.

  Per the FAQ at the head of these forums, we are not able to modify the HTML of the themes. Being on a shared environment, you would be editing it for everybody using that theme and they would be doing the same thing to you.
