page links are not loading with the information on said page

My home page is showing the page links at the top menu, but the page link are not loading with the information on said page. When I go to edit any of my pages the information I’ve created is there, but when I attempt to visit my website to verify, the page is completely blank.
Thanks for your time and talents.

  • Hi Angela,

Can you please confirm the URL of the site you’re speaking of?

I took a look at the site indicated in your post, http://biologicallyrich.wordpress.com/, but I don’t see any menu at the top of that page.

Could you double check? I had it saved for a short while without a menu with links at the top, my apologies.
I just made sure all the links were active at the top

  • Okay, now I see a menu on the front page, underneath the logo/header. I didn’t see those when I checked on Friday :)

The menu links are displaying the pages correctly. But the pages are blank, and this is because the placeholder blocks, that are used to display the page content, have been deleted from the page template for your theme. So even though the content have been added to the page at Pages ->All Pages, the Page template for the theme is missing the part that tells it to show the content added to the page.

To fix that, go to the site editor at Appearance ->Editor. Click the template name at the top, click Browse All Templates, and select the Page template:

    https://d.pr/i/IP02rY

Click on the template name again, and click Clear Customizations:

    https://d.pr/i/DOTXAB

That will remove the header you’ve added to the template, but it will also restore the placeholder blocks that handle displaying the page content. If you open the List view in the editor, you’ll see the placeholder blocks added there:

    https://d.pr/i/J7bZEd

Now you can add your header image to the template again, as you had it before, but make sure you don’t delete that Post content block.

Once you’ve added what you want there, update the template, and now your pages should show their content when you visit them.

Let me know if you run into any difficulty with these steps, or if you have any questions.
