    Hi @antonellamunozp1989,

I tried taking a look at your site antonellamunozp1989-hjnvk.wordpress.com, but I see it has been deleted now. The Page list block usually returns this error when there aren’t any published pages on the site.

To fix this, make sure you have at least one published page. If your pages are still in draft, you can publish them by following these steps: https://wordpress.com/support/pages/#publish-a-page

    Hi Antonella,

The “Page list: cannot retrieve pages” issue usually happens when WordPress can’t detect published pages for your menu. Here’s how to fix it:

    1. Check Your Pages – Make sure you have published pages. Drafts won’t show in the menu.
    2. Assign Menu Properly – Go to Appearance → Menus, create a menu, and add your pages. Then assign it to your theme’s Primary Menu location.
    3. Switch Theme Temporarily – Some themes display menus differently. Try switching to a default theme like Twenty Twenty-Three to see if pages appear.
    4. Clear Cache – If using a caching plugin or browser cache, clear it and reload the editor.
    5. Jetpack / WordPress.com Settings – Since you’re not using Jetpack, ensure your account is properly connected to WordPress.com. Sometimes re-authorizing helps.

Following these steps should restore your page list in the navigation menu.
