Page looks different when i click on edit

    Hi, Im totally new to wordpress. I have chosen a free theme but my page looks different on the customiser to what it does when i click edit.

    When i click on my site on the top right corner, on that page the view of my site contains the header, tagline, navigation and image but when i click edit it only contains header and image. If i insert a new navigation block in when in edit mode – when i go back to view page it have 2 navigation blocks.

    Im really comfused, hope you can help?

    Hi @amyandstemecom,

    I see that you’re using the Shawburn theme. When in the block editor, you won’t see your site’s header/footer or other theme elements unless you directly view your site (or in the Customizer). This is only possible with themes that use full site editing (FSE), however the page/post editing experience will remain the same outside of the site editor.

    With regards to the navigation block, it isn’t necessary to add this to your pages, as it’s automatically added by the theme. To edit the primary menu for your site, please go to Appearance → Customize.
