Page loses edit capability when adding embed code
-
Has anyone lost the ability to edit a page after adding an embed code from a third party? I run a small nonprofit and I’m looking to embed a donation form from givelively…but every time I paste the code in, I can no longer edit the page. When I click on any of the pencils, the popups don’t appear. Worse, I can’t seem to delete the page section that I feel is causing the problem. I’ve tried a few different browsers and it seems to happen on any page where I try to embed this code.

Hi there,
I do not see any sites under your WordPress.com account when I check on our end. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/sites.
Is it possible you created your site under a different login? Is it the case that you are you using another provider like GoDaddy, Bluehost, Hostgator, etc. instead? What is the URL of the site you are needing help with?
Happy to check in our system so we can take a closer look.

The URL is
wincam.org. It’s hosted with a different provider. I don’t honestly know enough about this to understand what I’m even asking or if this is an appropriate forum…I just know it doesn’t work. -
Hi,
It looks like your site is using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but is hosted with another webhost.
We’re only able to provide support for WordPress websites that are hosted by us here at WordPress.com. For help with a WordPress site hosted elsewhere you’ll need to ask over at the WordPress.org forums:
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
Depending on the level of support that is included with your hosting plan, your webhost’s support team may also be able to assist.
If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and the open-source WordPress software you can read this article:
