Page Margins/Word wrap?
-
This isn’t necessarily a “support” question, just someone who knows how to lend a hand. Problem: I have never had any difficulty with text on my blog. However, I wrote yesterday (Aug. 26 inst.) and approximately 15 or so characters of my text are just shaved off. The words are in the Code box; however, not on the final page. Any suggestions?
Just one more thing: I did a custom header that is precisely the same header only I added a picture to it. When loading or going from site to site my header “The Thinker” takes about 2-3 seconds to load up. Suggestions?

Maybe you should try creating a new article, but with the same content. If that doesn’t work try changing a theme. And lastly maybe your computer/wordpress doesn’t like the characters.
As for the header, you might try saving it with more compression.

For sure, the custom header just has to be in a format that the file itself is not “huge”. As for the overlap using the “code” section, it does that in the forums as well. It is something that can be defined if you have the custom CSS upgrade, but I am not 100% sure how at the moment. Maybe just edit the “code” manually with a line break so that the portion that is missing is on the next line? Just a suggestion.

Hey Joshua and Trent:
Thanks so much for your assistance! I went ahead and marked this one “resolved” insofar as I resolved the margin problem by moving a photograph from left to right. Don’t ask me why, it is exactly the same image; so why it pushed the text farther right I don’t have a clue. Yes, I have used the exact same photo several times.
Joshua, normally if the problem persists and I can’t figure it out, normally I’ll pull down everything I’ve written and re-write or re-format everything, again thanks for the suggestion.
As for the header problem: It still has some lag time usually about 1-3 seconds. Ex: First login to wp->click my blog->when my blog is loading a different color header (Concept) stays for 1-3 seconds then my custom header is there. I can live with 1-3 seconds inasmuch as what wordpress does for me.
I do want to mention this aspect for your troubles: The custom header I’m using is the exact same header (Concept); all I did was copy it, added the image and saved as a jpeg. I will try the compression; however, if either of you two think this is a bad idea, please stop me! Again, thanks for everything. Btw, either of you two know a good starter book for CSS?
